Honeybear Childcare & Pre-school - We Specialize in Fun!

Pre-employ.com On-site Honeybear Child Care and Preschool

Studies show that the issue of quality, affordable child care is a concern for individuals trying to balance employment commitments with family needs.

Pre-employ.com is committed to providing a reduced-cost, quality, on-site child care center. Honeybear Childcare and Preschool, meets the needs of employees by providing a safe, friendly and home-like atmosphere where their children are happy, secure and immersed in a high-quality learning environment with a loving and capable staff.

Our center allows us to participate in an important solution that helps employees balance the complex needs of work and family, while offering the assurance of quality care for their children.

This daycare site was selected because of its central location in relation to the business and town and its "homelike" appearance. Located directly across the street from the main building of Pre-employ.com, at the center of the city of Anderson, the center provides child care services to all employees at rates that are much lower than those charged by other area preschools. The knowledge that their child is close is conducive to being a more focused and productive employee. Cameras are available giving employees the ability to check in on their children throughout the day.

Programs

2 & 3 year olds (Cubbies): Twos and threes are exploding in their power to communicate, to move purposely, to assert their independence and individuality, and to control their important bodily functions. Our program offers a balance of nurturing, playtime and a learning environment that keeps their fingers busy and their minds engaged and happy.

4 & 5 year olds (Teddy bears): The day for preschool children builds upon established foundations for learning while focusing on the children’s newly emerging and advanced use of language, mathematical reasoning, and scientific thought. We use curriculum designed to prepare your child for the next exciting phase – kindergarten.

Kindergarten Readiness Program: Helping all children start school ready to learn is critical to their future success and to the well-being of society as a whole. Children who start school behind their peers are unlikely to catch up. Children who enter kindergarten with limited word reading skills are the most likely to develop later reading difficulties and require remedial education.

A child's readiness to start school as a kindergartner is paramount for success, not only in school but in life. Children who start kindergarten prepared to grow mentally, physically and emotionally are far more likely to be successful in school and in life. Studies show that early schooling has enormous long-range benefits. When engaged in a good readiness program, those children are less likely to need special-education services and more likely to graduate. After leaving school, they are more likely to be employed.

Our kindergarten readiness program is geared to a variety of learning styles and focuses on developing the following skills:

  • Letter, shape, and color recognition
  • Word recognition
  • Use of small writing tools
  • Exposure to numbers, measurements, geometric objects
  • Reasoning
  • Introduction to computers
  • Body awareness
  • Socialization
  • Participation/cooperation

Teachers and staff

Our staff is highly trained with many years experience and continues training throughout the year. They each have a passion for each individual child’s happiness and education, structuring their day to meet individual children’s needs. They are passionate about your child’s happiness and education and provide a safe, nurturing environment that cultivates self esteem. Our teachers are dedicated to developing your child’s learning potential.

Nutrition

We take the responsibility of children’s nutrition very seriously at our facility. By working with children each day, we help them learn how to choose and try many different types of foods. By serving them nutritious meals and snacks, we are helping children get the nourishment needed to provide them with the energy they need to learn and grow - and be healthy.

Research has shown that there are crucial relationships between nutrition and health, and also nutrition and learning. Your child care providers are in a special position to show children what it means to eat for good health, including how important it is to eat a variety of foods.

We are very proud to be serving meals and snacks that follow the USDA’s Child and Adult Food Program guidelines. All of our meals are not only nutritious, but also delicious and appealing as well. Not only do we serve a variety of foods for children to choose from but we also add vegetable and fruit purees to many popular foods that children love so that they are getting an added healthy boost without knowing it!

Childcare Tax Credit Information

Did you know you may be eligible for tax benefits to help pay for your child's education and care by reducing the income taxes you pay or increasing your tax refund?

A tax credit is even more valuable to families than a tax deduction. A tax credit is a dollar-for-dollar reduction in taxes owed. Some credits are refundable – taxes can be reduced to the point that a taxpayer receives a refund instead of paying taxes.

Under current federal law eligible families can claim tax credits* up to:

  • $2,100 from the federal Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit
    (up to $1,050 for each of your first two children; the exact amount depends on your income and actual child care expenses);
  • $1,000 per child from the federal Child Tax Credit; and
  • $5,657 from the federal Earned Income Tax Credit.
(The exact amount depends on your income)

Many states provide tax credits in addition to the federal tax credits.
