Pre-employ.com has gone above and beyond in an environmentally friendly way. Taking the next step towards greener business is a serious matter for Pre-employ.com. Below you will find just some of the ways we have helped to make our world a greener place in 2008 and what we are doing in 2009.
2008 Green Initiative Successes
- Eliminated paper based work distribution system by instituting an electronic queuing system for assignments.
- Rolled out package management and record retention maintenance system.
- Adoption of Virtual Meetings - Saving fossil fuels through reduced auto and air transportation as a best practice.
- Implemented SANS solution - Scalability means a reduction in e-waste, reduction in electrical use and increase in productivity.
- Thin Client PCs - Smaller more energy efficient workstations and produce less heat saving cooling costs during the summer.
- Shredded paper recycling bins - Saves trees and uses 50% less water for paper production.
- Recycle toner cartridges - Less waste in landfills and can be reconstituted by manufacturer.
- Plastic recycling bins - Plastic bottles can take up 1,000 years before they begin to decompose.
- Aluminum recycling bins - Twenty recycled aluminum cans can be produced with the energy it takes to produce one can from new materials.
- Glass recycling bins - Glass is 100% recyclable.
2009 Green Initiative Goals
- Increase Virtual Employment capabilities for applicable positions, across all departments to reduce consumption of fossil fuels.
- Institute Virtual Training for new employees, certification programs and ongoing training to facilitate "Employee work at Home Program" for applicable positions.
- Institute Virtual Supervision concept for Sales and Marketing positions to facilitate remote work practices.
- Introduction of Car Pooling/Ride Share program
