Florida Minimum Wage Increase Coming Soon

Florida has been given new laws that will take effect in 2021.  Florida citizens will see a nine-cent pay increase in the minimum wage beginning in 2021.  However, this increase in minimum wage will not increase to $15 until 2026.  

Additionally, on January 1, 2021, Florida employers will begin utilizing the federal E-verify system or collecting I-9 forms to examine the immigration status of newly hired employees.  Florida residents are split on this issue.
