It’s tempting for employers to have their employees remove their masks now that states are easing up on their restrictions or even eliminating them. Employers may want to do this to give the appearance of a return to normality or because of their personal political views. But, employers may want to consider carefully before insisting that their employees stop wearing masks.
Masks are an effective safety measure helping to prevent the spread of COVID 19. So, it might be best to allow fully vaccinated employees to stop wearing masks while having other employees continue to wear them. After all, by not getting vaccinated, employees are in effect choosing to continue wearing a mask.
It could be hard to continue to force fully vaccinated employees to wear masks considering the recent CDC guidelines, but state laws vary. So, it’s good to keep up with your state’s law to ensure you comply. Also, even if your state doesn’t require masks, consider carefully what’s best for your workplace.
